Biloxi Blues Ushers
PLEASE SIGN UP FOR ONE (1) PERFORMANCE ONLY. If there are still open spots one week away, you may sign up for more than one performance.
**If you have to cancel, please remember to come back to ludus and delete your entry, so that another participant can sign up. Please note that failure to cancel your ushering shift in advance may result in the loss of your ushering privileges. We rely on your commitment to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all our guests.
By signing up to usher for a HART production, in exchange for 1 seat, you agree to the following:
- Participant agrees to come to the theatre at 6:30p for evening performances and at 1p for Matinee performances, dressed upscale casual, and be cheerful and gracious to our patrons, volunteers, cast, crew and front of house team.
- Participant agrees to "sweep" the auditorium for any leftover items, playbills, wrappers, etc. following the performance.
- Participant agrees to check-in and usher patrons to and from their seats before the performance, during intermission, and after the performance.
- Participant agrees to repeat the phrase, "please watch your step," to patrons as they navigate the auditorium.
- Participant agrees to work with the front of house crew as a team, to seat all participants, including those with disabilities.
- Participant agrees to report any questions, issues or problems to the Box Office Manager or Board Member on duty as soon as they happen.
- Participant acknowledges that their direct supervisor(s) will be the Board Member on duty and the Box Office Manager on the day of the performance.
- Participant acknowledges that they will be seen as a representative of HART.
- Participant acknowledges that they may be asked to leave if any of these directives are not followed.
- Participant agrees that if there are no seats available for that performance, he/she/they will be compensated in the form of one free ticket to a show of their choosing. (This has never happened)
- Please be advised that this is not a volunteer position and these hours will not count toward a Friends of HART membership.
