Synopsis: 
Set in 1862 during the Civil War, The "Amazing" Séance Sisters follows the story of Jayne and Olivia, sisters in their late 20s, who, after their post-mortem photography business fails, turn to seances to make ends meet. Desperate to save their family home from being claimed by Jayne’s deceased husband’s family and to afford treatment for Olivia’s illness, they embark on a new venture. Olivia, who believes she can commune with the dead, and Jayne, the entrepreneurial spirit, start their seance business in their small town.

Their situation becomes more complex with the arrival of Maurice, a mysterious magician who offers his assistance. As he helps transform their home into a proper seance parlor, old memories and buried secrets resurface, threatening to tear the sisters apart. Jayne dreams of adventure and travel, while Olivia, a shut-in, clings to their home. Jayne loves Olivia but feels she is an anchor preventing her from living the life she wants.
